Simulated HVAC Service Calls
  1. Service Team #1:  Complete an abbreviated furnace inspection and write up an invoice. The inspection includes checking the filter, overall amp draw, inducer blower amp draw, and temperature rise. Compare the measured temperature rise and amp draws to those given by the manufacturer.  Remove and clean the flame sensor (see instructor first).
  2. Service team #2:  (S. Bryant's customer's machine) Remove the non-working refrigerator's overload and relay. Test the overload.  Replace the overload and relay with a 3-n-1 kit.  See the instructor before turning on the power to test the unit.  Reassemble the unit and write up an invoice.
    1. Service Team #1:  Diagnose the problem with a chest freezer and repair it if possible. 
    2. Service Team #2:  Complete an abbreviated furnace inspection and write up an invoice. The inspection includes checking the filter, overall amp draw, inducer blower amp draw, and temperature rise. Compare the measured temperature rise and amp draws to those given by the manufacturer.  Remove and clean the flame sensor (see instructor first). Check the capacitor. Check HSI ohms (see instructor first).
